Yalcin Kumeli was born in Istanbul, Turkey, into a family with a diverse professional background. He began his journey with a rigorous education at the Turkish Military Academy, earning a degree in Electrical Engineering, and served as a Second Lieutenant in the Turkish Army. Leading an Commando company of in a battle environment in a very young age , he gained early leadership experience managing military vehicles, equipment, and personnel training.
After completing his military carrier, Kumeli transitioned into the corporate world, excelling in roles within HR management, sales, and hospitality. These experiences built the foundation for his future success in media production, where he combined his organizational skills and leadership with a passion for storytelling and filmmaking.
After he also had a Degree in Marmara University Communication Faculty in Istanbul, His media career began as a Line Producer at Masum Film, producing two independent feature films on limited budgets, different TV programs Documentaries, He later took on the role of General Manager at Adam Film Production, overseeing high-budget TV series and feature films, including a 96-episode crime drama series and a 50-episode sitcom. His meticulous planning and leadership resulted in productions that were both timely and profitable.
Kumeli's expertise spans Development, Production, and Post-Production Management, as well as scheduling, budgeting, script writing, casting, and directing(awarded 3 times with his short films). He has supervised productions locally and internationally, coordinating complex schedules, preparing daily call sheets, and ensuring seamless wrap documentation. His multilingual abilities (fluent in English and Turkish, conversational in German) have enabled him to communicate effectively with union representatives, producers, and international crews.
In addition to his production acumen, Kumeli is adept at recruiting and managing teams, conducting performance appraisals, motivating and training crews, and taking disciplinary action when necessary. He has developed and implemented business strategies, outlined job specifications, and prepared and negotiated contracts, contributing to the success of numerous projects.
