Arlette Torres is an actress and model born in Caracas to a Martinican mother, Arlette Danglades, and a Venezuelan father, actor José Torres. From a young age, she was immersed in the country's artistic environment, beginning her career in children's theatre and storytelling.
Torres earned a Journalism degree from Universidad Central de Venezuela. In 2002, she completed the Acting Program at Venezuela's National Theatre Company, specializing in physical theatre. In 2005, she relocated to Spain to study Film Interpretation at Madrid's Instituto del Cine.
She has further honed her skills through theatre and "acting for the camera" workshops with renowned mentors including Luci Lenox, John Strasberg, Natalia Mateo, Fernando Colomo, Denise Despeyroux, Beto Benites, Miguel Ponce, José Sanchis Sinisterra, Rosa Estévez, Will Keen, Fernando Piernas, Diana Peñalver, Tazmin Townsend, Tapa Sudana, Carlos Cueva, and Piotr Borowski.
Torres has built a diverse career across film, theatre, and television in Europe and Latin America, collaborating with international directors like Tim Miller, Fernando Colomo, Miguel Martí, Fina Torres, Fernando González Molina, Alejandro Bellame, Gustavo Rondón Córdova, and Miguel Ferrari.
Her performance in Margarita Cadenas' film Cenizas eternas (2011) earned her a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the 2012 Venezuelan Film Festival. In 2014, she served as the head of the Official Jury at the Huelva Iberoamerican Film Festival.
Currently based in Spain, she is also a certified Hatha Yoga instructor and is fluent in Spanish, English, Italian, and French.
