Zach Bair is an American producer, recording artist and technology/music entrepreneur. He is best known for his work with DiscLive Network, formerly known as Abbey Road Live, and before that, simply DiscLive. He is CEO and founder of RockHouse Live Media Productions, Inc., the exclusive brand owner and operator of DiscLive.
Since 2004, Bair has pioneered the effort to bring "instant" live recordings to concert goers, working with and producing live recordings for such artists as the Pixies, Slash, Billy Idol, Seether, REO Speedwagon, Alter Bridge, and many more. Bair's efforts have position DiscLive as the global leader in the space, with almost a decade of refined processes and experience.
Bair was born in Charlotte, NC, and raised mostly in Arkansas and Texas, where his mother's influence as an English professor was crucial in shaping his future exploits both as an entrepreneur and as a musician/producer. Bair is a USAF veteran, and attended both LSU and SFASU, majoring in English with a minor in journalism.
In addition to being lead vocalist and manager for his own band, No Control, Bair is a serial entrepreneur, having raised millions of dollars in funding, and having started no less than three different companies: PowerUp Networks (renamed Voyence), which was a venture-backed company; Immediatek (IMKI), a company Bair founded and took public, and eventually sold to Dallas Mavericks owner and co-founder of Broadcast.com Mark Cuban; and RockHouse Live Media Productions, Inc. During his tenure at Immediatek, Bair acquired the original DiscLive, commercializing the concept and creating a new revenue stream for artists.
He is a longtime technologist, with focus in areas such as software design and engineering, web technologies, and network performance engineering. He is an inventor, having patented the original software that he designed when PowerUp was launched.
