Amreesh Manjrekar is a Mumbai-born industry force whose career reads like a masterclass in climbing the ranks of Indian entertainment. He entered the business in 1999 as a studio runner-sweeping floors, fixing lights, hauling cameras-and turned those gritty beginnings into a powerhouse journey across film, television, and digital storytelling.
By the early 2000s, he was already on sets of music videos, ad films, and shorts, learning every craft he could get his hands on. From BBC2’s Brighter Pictures to Bedi Productions and MTV shows, Manjrekar built a reputation as the guy who could handle anything-production, camera, editing, lights, or locations.
In 2006, he leapt into television creative, joining Star India as an On-Air Producer and shaping promos for Star One, Star Plus, Star Gold, and Movies OK. A few years later, Sony India tapped him as Senior Promo Producer, where he rolled out marquee launches like NBA India and UFC.
But the real turning point came in 2012. Amreesh walked away from television to step fully into the world of film as an Executive Producer-a role that let him fuse creativity with sharp production control. Over the past decade, he’s worked on notable projects like Fighter, Jewel Thief, and web series such as Flesh, Dil Bekaraar, Dulha Wanted, and Netflix’s The Big Day.
Today, Amreesh is part of one of India’s most anticipated films of 2025-2026, the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer KING, currently in production.
