Jules Kain is an American pianist, music educator, actor, and entrepreneur whose career spans entertainment, music, and ministry. Born in Pasadena, California on Christmas Day, he was raised in a family with deep roots in Gospel music and Christian ministry. Inspired by his father and older brother, Jules began playing piano at the age of four and performed his first church service at just five years old.
As an actor, Jules has appeared in more than 100 national commercials for major brands including AT&T, State Farm, Pepsi, KFC, Old Navy. His television credits include Everybody Hates Chris, The Bernie Mac Show, CSI: NY, and Hannah Montana, among other productions. His work in front of the camera established him as a versatile performer at an early age.
Alongside his acting career, Jules developed a lifelong passion for music. He studied classical piano through Santa Monica College, The Colburn School, and Berklee College of Music, building a foundation that would later influence his distinctive approach to Gospel piano. Drawing from both classical training and the rich traditions of Black Gospel music, he became known for his ability to accurately transcribe, teach, and preserve Gospel music for future generations.
Jules is the founder of Jules Kain Music, an educational platform dedicated to helping musicians learn Gospel piano through tutorials, sheet music, choir arrangements, MIDI files, and personalized instruction. Through his teaching, he has helped musicians, worship leaders, choir directors, and church pianists around the world better understand Gospel harmony, chord progressions, and performance techniques. His extensive catalog of tutorials and transcriptions has reached millions of viewers and become a valuable resource for those seeking authentic Gospel music education.
Much of his work is focused on preserving and making accessible the rich traditions of Black Gospel music for future generations. Whether teaching, performing, transcribing, or creating educational resources, Jules remains committed to helping musicians develop their skills while honoring the musical legacy that shaped his own journey.
Outside of music and entertainment, Jules is a black belt in Kuk Sool Won martial arts, an avid collector of rare Gospel recordings, and a passionate advocate for preserving the history and influence of Gospel music.
He lives in California with his wife, Kristen, and their family, continuing to balance his work as a musician, educator, entrepreneur, and performer.
