Paras Kalnawat is an Indian actor and model. Born in Bhandara, near Nagpur, he completed his schooling at Sanskar Vidya Sagar and Mohota Science College in Nagpur, before earning a Bachelor of Commerce degree from S.K. Somaiya College in Mumbai. Drawn to acting from an early age, Paras moved to Mumbai in 2014 to turn his dream into reality. There, he polished his skills with a dance diploma from Terence Lewis Dance Academy and formal acting training at Barry John's Acting Classes.
He began his career in 2016 as a model, walking the ramp for high-profile designers such as Kunal Rawal, Monisha Jaisingh, Manish Malhotra, and Narendra Kumar, and appearing in Lakme Fashion Week. The same year, he was awarded the Mr. Multimedia title at the People's Choice Award - Max Elite Model Look India. He also featured in several television and print advertisements before transitioning into acting.
He made his on-screen debut in 2017 with an episodic role in Aye Zindagi, followed by his first major television role as Sanjay Prince Ahlawat in Meri Durga. Over the next few years, he appeared in shows such as Mariam Khan Reporting Live, Kaun Hai?, and Laal Ishq, steadily building a reputation for his versatility.
In 2019, he made his digital debut with Dil Hi Toh Hai 2, portraying Shivam Noon. Later that year, he took on a more complex role as Faraz Sheikh in Ishq Aaj Kal, showcasing a darker, intense side of his acting range. His career reached new heights in 2020 with the role of Samar Shah in Anupamaa, earning him widespread recognition and making him a household name.
In 2022, Paras showcased his dancing skills by joining the reality competition Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10, marking another milestone in his career. Following this, he appeared in various music videos and continued his television journey with shows such as Kundali Bhagya and Parineetii.
