From blockbuster films to prime-time television, Hakeem Kae-Kazim has made a significant mark in the entertainment industry, collaborating with many renowned figures. This gifted actor gained global acclaim for his outstanding role as George Rutugunda in the Oscar-nominated Hotel Rwanda, which paved the way for leading roles in TNT's Librarian 2 alongside Noah Wyle, and The Triangle with Eric Stoltz and Sam Neill. Known for portraying dynamic and spirited characters, Hakeem's impressive credits include Pirates of the Caribbean III, Lost, Cane with Jimmy Smits, Law & Order: SVU with Mariska Hargitay, X-Men Origins: Wolverine with Hugh Jackman, The 4th Kind with Milla Jovovich, and Darfur featuring Billy Zane.
He is widely recognized for his recurring role as Colonel Dubaku, captivating audiences with his powerful performances in Season 7 of 24 and its prequel film Redemption. Hakeem both produced and starred in Black November alongside Mickey Rourke and Kim Basinger, as well as in the award-winning Man on Ground and Last Flight to Abuja. His recent films include Half of a Yellow Sun and A Chance of Rain.
Hakeem's distinctive voice has been featured in popular video games such as Halo, Call of Duty, and The Bourne Conspiracy. He portrayed Mr. Scott in Michael Bay’s thrilling series Black Sails, which was renewed for a third season, played The Prophet in NBC’s Dominion, and took on the role of Samson in the acclaimed miniseries Roots.
In the BBC/Netflix drama Troy: Fall of a City, Hakeem starred as Zeus and provided the voice of Krogan in Disney Channel’s hit series How to Train Your Dragon. His recent film projects include 24 Hours to Live and the drama Serenity, starring Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway. He also appeared in the US drama Forty North and joined the cast of the Dynasty remake as the Colby family patriarch.
Most recently, Hakeem filmed the highly anticipated feature King Kong vs. Godzilla as Admiral Wilcox, portrayed Mambo in the local film Riding with Sugar, played Zimbabwean revolutionary Robert Mugabe in MUGABE, and took on the role of Joseph Damba in the TV series Deep State II.
