Robert G. Rose (Rob) is a media entrepreneur, travel and video journalist, creator, producer, and host of the long-running Raw Travel TV. He has created a tapestry of content throughout his media career, producing socially conscious "media that matters." His mantra, "empathy equals strength," is evident throughout his work.
Rob founded his production and distribution company, Artist and Idea Management (AKA AIM Tell-A-Vision Group or AIM TV Group), in February 2000. His first project, American Latino Syndication, produced two Latino-themed, English-language shows, American Latino TV and LatiNation. These pioneering shows became long-running successes, attracting syndication success, a cable network deal, millions in sponsorship dollars, and several million viewers as Rose became recognized in U.S. Hispanic marketing.
Rob sold American Latino Syndication in 2008-09 and traveled through Latin America for a year. His travels produced life-changing experiences that inspired him to develop an authentic travel show featuring genuine cultural experiences within a socially conscious context. Raw Travel TV debuted in the fall of 2013 and has reached millions of viewers worldwide through syndication, streaming, and international television.
Rob has traveled to numerous challenging destinations, including Haiti, Cuba, China, and Vietnam (all undercover), Colombia, Georgia (including the Russian-occupied territory of Abkhazia), and Russia (in 2010). However, his visits to Ukraine dramatically changed his perspective and inspired him to become an outspoken advocate for Ukraine's struggle for freedom.
Rob first visited Ukraine in 2012 and returned twice more in 2019 to film for Raw Travel, introducing his viewers to the country's culture and beauty. In 2019, he met talented cinematographer Anastasia Zui, a refugee from the 2014 Russian invasion who is now a beloved member of the Raw Travel crew.
Soon after the full invasion in 2022, Anastasia and Rob traveled together into Western and Central Ukraine to film an episode entitled "Steadfast in Ukraine" to give viewers insight into the toll the invasion was taking and to encourage them to be "steadfast" in their support.
In the summer of 2023, Rob returned to Ukraine for several weeks and collaborated with Anastasia to film more. They embedded themselves with soldiers and volunteers in Eastern and Southern Ukraine, including several hotspots near the front. Based on this trip, the four-part documentary series "My Summer in Ukraine" premiered on TV stations nationwide in 2024, along with RawTravelUkraine.com, a dedicated website designed to help viewers navigate the conflict. Rose returned to Ukraine in the summer of 2024 and 2025 to volunteer and report.
When not filming, fundraising, speaking, or advocating for Ukraine, Rob travels, reads voraciously, screens documentaries, consults, volunteers, blogs, and runs a small digital record label, Punk Outlaw Records. He is a published writer, a featured speaker at various travel, media, and trade shows, and a member of numerous media and travel trade organizations.
