Cynthia Hudson is a trailblazing media executive, writer, and producer who has shaped Spanish-language and cross-cultural media-including television, digital, and radio-for more than three decades.
She began her career at Univision as a news reporter and producer, where she created the pioneering Antes de las 6 (later Primer Impacto) and produced the long-running women's daily magazine program TV Mujer, the network's first Emmy Award-winning daily series.
Later, as Vice President of Programming and Production at Telemundo, Hudson transformed the network into a competitive force in the U.S. market by establishing its first telenovela production unit. She went on to create and write Miami Sands, the first English-language telenovela produced by Promax and Dolphin Entertainment, which was distributed worldwide and dubbed into multiple languages.
Hudson subsequently launched Cosmopolitan TV for Hearst Entertainment in Spain, Latin America, and Canada, expanding global programming partnerships. She was the first executive to acquire the rights to Sex and the City in Europe.
From 2005 to 2010, Hudson served as Chief Creative Officer and Senior Vice President at Spanish Broadcasting Systems, where she oversaw the launch of Mega TV and led the company's television and digital strategy, including the development of Lamusica.com.
From 2010 to 2025, Hudson held the position of Senior Vice President and Managing Director of CNN en Español, where she redefined the brand and oversaw the expansion of its television, digital, and radio platforms across the United States, Latin America, and Spain. She led coverage of major global events and spearheaded the creation of award-winning original content. Hudson developed CNNE's acclaimed Docu-films franchise, producing the International Emmy-nominated Un Viaje con Fidel, as well as other documentaries. She also championed the Emmy-winning global documentary Narcofiles: El Tren de Aragua, created the network's widely praised anti-discrimination content and brand franchise Proyecto: Ser Humano, and attracted top-rated talent to the network.
