Miral Ezzat El-Fakharany is an Egyptian-American film and television producer with over 18 years of experience developing and producing feature films and television projects across the MENA region, the GCC, and the United States. She holds a Master’s degree in Global Strategic Communications from Florida International University and is recognized for combining creative intuition with strong strategic, financial, and international production frameworks. Miral began her professional career in multinational advertising agencies, collaborating on large-scale regional and global campaigns for brands such as Samsung, Ford, L’Oréal, and PepsiCo. This foundation shaped her identity and voice as a producer balancing artistic ambition with structure, collaboration, audience awareness, and sustainable production models. She later transitioned into independent film and television, where she focused on socially driven, filmmaker-led projects rooted in cultural authenticity and strong directorial vision. She is the founder of Plot Heads Productions, a company operating between Egypt and the United States and built around three core pillars: authentic storytelling, emerging talent empowerment, and women’s voices rising. Through Plot Heads, Miral champions original narratives that reflect diverse realities while actively identifying, mentoring, and producing work by emerging and underrepresented filmmakers, with a strong emphasis on supporting women creators across film, television, and digital storytelling. Her feature film Snow White was selected for the Cairo Film Connection, where it received awards from UNFPA and UN Women, and was developed through the RAWI Screenwriters Lab (a collaboration between the Sundance Institute and the Royal Film Commission of Jordan). The film premiered at the Red Sea International Film Festival 2024, marking a significant milestone in her feature filmmaking trajectory. Her development work has also been supported by major international platforms, including Rotterdam International Film Festival labs and Marrakesh International Film Festival’s Atlas Workshops. In television, Miral produced the Syrian drama series Dahab Ghali, filmed in Lebanon and acquired by Amazon Prime Video, further strengthening her experience in regional co-production and global distribution. In 2025, Miral was selected for the Creative Producer Indaba (CPI) by the Realness Institute and signed an exclusive partnership to serve as the Institute’s official representative in the Middle East and all Arab countries, where she leads producer training and talent development initiatives across the region an engagement, she considers central to her legacy alongside the films she brings to the world through cinema. Currently based in Los Angeles, Miral continues to expand her feature film slate, build long-term creative collaborations, and mentor emerging filmmakers across Africa, the Middle East, and the global independent film ecosystem, serving as a bridge between regional and international cinema.
