Caspar Arnhold was born and raised in Frankfurt/Main, Germany. At 20, he moved to London to study acting and drama under mentors such as Mariana Hill, Don Fellows, Claude Chagrin, Sir Timothy Ackroyd, and Anthony Simmons. Though he began his career as an actor and gained recognition in German film and television, he soon realized his passion lay behind the camera, where he could tell his own stories. This shift was influenced by his upbringing in his father's studio, where he absorbed the art of food and still life photography that established his father's reputation. From an early age, Caspar developed an interest in experimenting with cameras and various formats.
He earned a gold award at the 2004 German Film Awards for his first short film, 'Full Stop,' and his subsequent film, 'Kinetosis,' enjoyed success at international festivals, including selection for competition at the 2008 Festival de Cannes. Caspar has since assisted, produced, and developed feature film projects and is a member of the German Film Academy. His freelance commercial work serves an international clientele.
As an award-winning image maker, Caspar continues to explore the intimacy of natural minimalism in storytelling, beauty, and fashion. He invites audiences on a personal journey of discovery, revealing the deepest truths of human nature by capturing their essence in provocative style and content. His photographs and films often evoke mystery, diversity, and rawness, maintaining a delicate balance between fiction and reality. He is captivated by the haunting sincerity of our transient existence, seeking otherworldly characters who appear momentarily on earth to unveil what lies beneath the surface.
