With a 5,000-year-old name originating from Egypt, Onoufrios was born in Thessaloniki, Greece.
He loves challenges, so he allowed himself a whole three weeks to land an agent in LA, which... he did. Not having a proper visa to remain in Los Angeles proved to limit his reach, though. Undeterred, he pushed to improve his professional training, attending acting schools in New York, London, Cairo and Athens.
Onoufrios is fluent in Greek (native), English (American accent), Spanish, and Italian, with a good level of German, and a basic knowledge of Arabic, French, Russian, and Turkish.
Onoufrios had his first role in an American movie F*ck Valentine's Day, and has starred in short films in the UK and Greece, as well as in the high-profile drama series Kokkino Potami, where directors just loved to see him kill, rape, and shout at people...
On stage he has played characters from Romeo to God. In New York, he played in the off-Broadway comedy 'A Sketch of New York'. He's also been a member of an 'improv' Playback group.
Trying out new things is his thing, so you can find him playing his bouzouki or enjoying activities like ballet, martial arts, and parkour. His extraordinary love for music has him creating and sharing playlists on Spotify.
Onoufrios is a published poet with two award-winning collections. He became an avid history buff and a licensed tour guide in Athens, and also hosts two history podcasts in Greek and English ('Not another Greek history podcast').
