Born to a French mother and a Martinican father, Alex grew up in central France. His father, a Vietnamese martial arts instructor, introduced him to the discipline at a young age. Between 1997 and 2000, Alex became a three-time French champion in Viet Vo Dao.
At 17, while pursuing sports studies, Alex also started practicing dance, Parkour (known as "the Art of Displacement," popularized by the Yamakasi and its namesake film), and acrobatics.
This blend of movement arts inspired him to create a show combining sports, stunts, and acting, with proceeds supporting children's education in Vietnam.
His regional fame earned him a spot in the credits of the film Kiss of the Dragon with Jet Li. Although his role was cut last minute, this experience motivated him to pursue professional acting. Over three years, he performed in two successful musical comedies and was invited to study for two years at the International Academy of Acting, Singing and Dancing.
After completing his training, Alex shifted focus from stage to film acting. He took film acting and English courses and began auditioning professionally in 2005. His versatile look and remarkable physical skills have led to diverse professional opportunities.
From 2006 to 2008, he learned motion capture acting in the international series Galactik Football. Between 2006 and 2010, he appeared in ten Indian films during a Bollywood stint. In France, he launched his film career with Banlieue 13 Ultimatum by Patrick Alessandrin and the acclaimed movie The Prodigies by Antoine Charreyron (2011).
Between 2012 and 2013, Alex acted in three French films: Rust and Bone by Jacques Audiart, featuring Marion Cotillard and Matthias Schoenaerts; The Lookout by Michele Placido, alongside Daniel Auteuil and Matthieu; and Jeu De Couples by Maxwell A. Cavevall. He also appeared in two American films: Battle of the Year: Planet B-Boy by Benson Lee, starring Josh Holloway and Chris Brown, and Fast and Furious 6 by Justin Lin, with Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, and Dwayne Johnson.
