Andrew Lockington is renowned for his epic score for the Warner Bros/Newline blockbuster San Andreas, which helped the film earn nearly $475 million worldwide. His other notable works include the Golden Globe-nominated Frankie and Alice starring Halle Berry, Fox 2000's Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, Newline's Journey to the Center of the Earth, the Tom Hanks-produced City of Ember, Brad Peyton's Journey to the Mysterious Island for Warner Bros./Newline, and STX Entertainment's The Space Between Us. Most recently, Andrew composed the high-energy score for Warner Bros./Newline's Rampage, starring Dwayne Johnson, marking his fourth collaboration with director Brad Peyton. For this distinctive score, Andrew blended his expertise in world music, orchestral composition, and electronic experimentation, incorporating a large orchestra, processed brass, world percussion, vintage computer game sounds, manipulated animal noises recorded in jungles across two continents, and performances by The African Children's Choir from Uganda.
In 2008, he was honored as the Breakthrough Composer of the Year by the International Film Music Critics Association and was a nominee for Discovery of the Year at the World Soundtrack Awards.
Beyond scoring, Andrew has written and performed several songs for films, including "Stalking Stars," featured in Ben Affleck's 2013 Best Picture Oscar winner Argo, and "Move On," from Chris Evans' directorial debut, Before We Go.
