Over the past decade, Michael Ray Bower has built a reputation as a talented and accomplished actor. His varied resume includes comedic roles in films like "Dude, Where's My Car?" and "Evolution," as well as powerful dramatic performances in TV series such as "Dark Angel" and "CSI." His breakthrough role as a young soldier in James Cameron's "Dark Angel" was submitted for Emmy consideration. Throughout his career, Michael has earned numerous accolades, including the Young Artist Award, Teen People's Choice, and an ACE Award nomination.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Bower landed his first role at age eleven in the popular film "Moonwalker," starring Michael Jackson. He then appeared in a recurring role on the award-winning series "The Wonder Years" for three seasons. Bower transitioned from recurring parts to series regular roles on three primetime shows. With a dedicated fanbase and critical praise, he led Nickelodeon's beloved comedy "Salute Your Shorts," which has since gained a cult following. He has guest-starred in over 30 primetime television shows.
Bower made his lead feature film debut in DreamWorks’ summer hit "Evolution," directed by Ivan Reitman. He starred alongside notable actors such as David Duchovny, Sean William Scott, Orlando Jones, Dan Aykroyd, and Oscar winner Julianne Moore. Rumor has it that he secured the role over contenders like Jack Black and Dane Cook. More recent film credits include "Marilyn Hotchkiss' Ballroom Dancing and Charm School," where he appeared alongside John Goodman, Sean Astin, Marisa Tomei, Mary Steenburgen, and Danny DeVito.
He has demonstrated his range in numerous indie and festival short films, proving himself not only a comedic talent but also a compelling dramatic actor. Bower is also pursuing directing, with plans to direct his first short film soon. He currently leads a cast of comedians in a nationwide tour of a mock musical show that has attracted network interest.
On the big screen, Michael will next star in "Two Dudes & a Dream" and has recently completed work on Jersey Films’ "Community College." In his free time, Bower enjoys writing, technology, watching film and television, and has developed a new passion for tournament poker.
