Biographie
Ryan was born in Anaconda, Montana, to Rev. Joseph and Paula Dillon. In 1984, the Dillon family moved to Auburn, Washington. At ten years old, Ryan began a modest modeling career, working for Nordstrom and other local stores. Later, he started acting in his father's church, performing in various plays such as "Godspell" and "He Lived the Good Life." After graduating from Auburn Senior High School, Ryan relocated to Southern California and enrolled at Marymount College in Palos Verdes. Within two months, he signed with a talent agent and began appearing in music videos and TV commercials. Although he nearly secured major roles in Varsity Blues (1999), Coach Carter (2005), and Spartacus (2010), he took a break from Los Angeles and moved to Phoenix, Arizona. There, he signed with a local modeling agency and booked campaigns for Dillard's, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and walked the runway for Giorgio Armani. Returning to Los Angeles, Ryan acted in independent films, including the award-winning feature Mercy (2003), written and directed by close friend John Fitzpatrick. He also appeared in the AFI, Gotham, and Spirit Award-winning feature Littlerock (2010). In 2014, he produced and acted in Fitzpatrick's acclaimed horror short Skypemare (2013), starring longtime friend Cerina Vincent. Ryan continues collaborating with the Skypemare creative team, producing and starring in Brentwood Strangler (2015) and the monthly thriller series Scary Endings (2015). A dedicated animal rights advocate, he lives in Los Angeles and volunteers with animal nonprofit organizations.
