Biographie
Born and educated in France, with additional training in the UK, Valerie is fully bilingual and has worked across several continents. She began her career as a fringe theater and TV actress before moving into Voice-Overs, ADR, and various dubbing projects, providing the French voices for many US actresses such as Meg Ryan, Shirley MacLaine, Katie Holmes, Diane Keaton, Amanda Peet, Helen Hunt, Mare Winningham, Robin Givens, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, Diana Hardcastle, Diane Lane, Talia Shire, and many others. A trained linguist specializing in phonetics and applied linguistics, she is also a translator and interpreter known for her commitment to authenticity, accuracy, and detail.
Valerie has extensive experience in the entertainment industry as a Voice and Dialect Coach, teaching various UK and French accents, as well as South/West African and Italian accents, for TV series including the last three seasons of Alias (2001-2006), several seasons of The Unit (2005-2006), The L Word (2004-2009), and numerous international commercials. She also served as Technical Advisor for European scenes on the Alias (2001) series. Actors she has coached include Jennifer Garner, Hayden Panettiere, Bradley Cooper, Balthazar Getty, Élodie Bouchez, Kristin Kreuk, Carl Lumbly, Greg Grunberg, Benjamin Mouton, Izabella Scorupco, Judith Scott, rapper Sean 'Diddy' Combs, Julia Voth, and others.
In addition to coaching, Valerie is a VO director, having directed many dubbing projects in Parisian French, Canadian French, UK English, and US English. Her French and British voices are featured in numerous video games, animated films, and at the EuroDisney/Disneyland Paris theme park.
