Justin Nesbitt is emerging as a multifaceted talent in Hollywood, excelling both on camera and behind the scenes as an actor and producer. Raised in Maryland as the son of a minister, some of his most cherished memories involve family trips to the movies and thoughtful discussions about films with his father. These moments sparked his early passion for the magic of cinema.
Pursuing his dream of filmmaking, Justin relocated to Los Angeles. His initial experience in film production came at AGE, where he honed his skills managing movie soundtracks, overseeing casting, and ultimately becoming the company’s go-to producer. His first feature film as a cast and producer was "Hotel California," starring supermodel Tyson Beckford, Tatyana Ali, Simon Rex, and Erik Palladino. He then supervised the soundtrack for "Confessions of a Pit Fighter," featuring Armand Assante and Flavor Flav. Following that, he cast and produced the psychological thriller "Farmhouse," starring Steven Webber, Kelly Hu, Jamie Allman, and William Lee Scott.
Driven by a desire to explore all facets of the entertainment industry, Justin returned to acting—the very path that introduced him to show business on the set of "Monster," starring Charlize Theron, who received an Oscar for her role. His first collaboration was with director Patty Jenkins, now known for the Wonder Woman franchise. It was on the "Monster" set that his passion for acting took hold. He landed his first feature role as Dale, a disheveled DEA informant in Mexico, in the 2014 action-thriller "Misfire," starring Gary Daniels and Vanessa Vasquez. He later portrayed Lindy, a scene-stealing nervous mechanic, in the feature film "USS Indianapolis," starring Nicolas Cage and Tom Sizemore, which was slated to premiere in spring 2016.
Riding the wave of increasing acting opportunities, Justin recently completed filming the MMA action movie "Rumble," co-starring as Marty, the comedic sidekick, alongside Gary Daniels and model Sissi Fleitas. He will star as Detective Nicholson, a loyal and sensitive detective who looks out for his boss, in the action-thriller "Cops and Robbers," featuring Tom Berenger, Michael Jai White, Randy Wayne, and Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson. Shortly thereafter, he finished producing the psychological thriller "Armed" with veteran director Mario Van Peebles.
In his role as executive producer, Justin has collaborated with an array of renowned stars across several films and years, including Kevin Bacon, Kate Beckinsale, Andy Garcia, Ray Liotta, Mel Gibson, Harvey Keitel, Jim Parsons, Vera Farmiga, Tyrese Gibson, Scott Adkins, Kyra Sedgwick, Dermot Mulroney, Malin Akerman, Brian Austin Green, Mena Massoud, Terrence Howard, Joel David Moore, and many others. He has also observed the work of acclaimed directors such as David Fincher, Patty Jenkins, Kevin Bacon, Mario Van Peebles, Isaac Florentine, and the promising Michael J. Gallagher. Justin made his directorial debut with the feature film "Oscar Shaw," starring Michael Jai White and Tyrese Gibson, distributed by Samuel Goldwyn Films. Directing has become a newfound passion and another role he embraces when needed. He looks forward to growing and collaborating with the next generation of industry talent.
To continually refine his skills, Justin studies with the esteemed acting coach John Kirby during his spare time. He also dedicates time to networking and learning from established Hollywood figures. With his passion, natural ability, and charisma, Justin Nesbitt is undoubtedly a rising star to watch in Hollywood.
