Allelon Ruggiero began his professional acting career in 1988, portraying Stephen Meeks, one of the "dead poets" in Peter Weir's acclaimed film, "Dead Poets Society." After the film's completion, he completed his acting training at the Performing Arts School of Philadelphia and later pursued film studies at the University of the Arts. During his time at the university, Ruggiero appeared in several films, including "New Jack City," "Green Card," "Two Bits," "Eyes Beyond Seeing," "Twelve Monkeys," and "Thinner."
In 1992, he starred as Carl Borland, the episode lead in NBC's "Law and Order" episode titled "Intolerance." Following this, Ruggiero shifted his focus to writing, directing, and acting in his short film "Lost," which was screened at the Museum of American Art in 1995, won third place at the Denver International Filmworks Festival in 1997, and became part of PBS's "Independent Images" series.
In the winter of 1998, Ruggiero portrayed Jimmy, the possessed executioner, in Gregory Hoblit's supernatural thriller "Fallen," starring Denzel Washington. He also appeared in the Philippe Mora film "Joseph's Gift," alongside Sam Bottoms and Robert Townsend.
More recently, Ruggiero took on the lead role of Allen Anderson in Roger Corman's "The Greenskeeper," and had a small role in Sam Mendes' "Jarhead."
He is currently developing several projects with D-Lux Films.
