Armida Ponce-Enrile Siguion-Reyna, born on November 4, 1930, is a singer, actress, producer, and former MTRCB chairperson who studied at PWU. She performed lead roles in operas such as "Lucia de Lammermoor," "Rigoletto," "La Traviata," "I Pagliacci," and "The Merry Widow," as well as the zarzuela "Ang Mestiza."
Later in her diverse career, she hosted the celebrity TV show "Cooking Atbp" and released several albums, including "Aawitan Kita" Vols 1 and 2 for Villar Records, "Armida" for Dyna Records, and "Sa Lungkot at Saya...Aawitan Kita" for Viva Records.
She is renowned for her musical TV show "Aawitan Kita," which earned numerous awards. Her role in the film "Sa Pagitan ng Dalawang Langit" won her the Best Supporting Actress award at the 1975 Bacolod Film Festival.
Armida produced and starred in 16mm musicals such as "Dung-aw," "Lakambini," "Supremo," "Pagpatak ng Ulan," and "Sisa."
Her first film production company, Pera Films, produced two movies: "Laruang Apoy" and "Bilanggong Birhen." Currently, her film outfit, Reyna Films, has produced several award-winning films under the direction of her son, Carlitos Siguion-Reyna.
