Biografi
Stephan Schultze pursued his passion for filmmaking, building a successful career as a director of photography, screenwriter, director, producer, and showrunner. A talented and resourceful filmmaker, he has developed 12 feature films and two series, all of which secured distribution through streaming platforms, home video, and/or theatrical release.
He started his career in advertising before relocating to Los Angeles to advance in the film industry. In Hollywood, he progressed through various roles while honing his skills on projects directed by notable figures such as James Cameron, Ron Underwood, and Bryan Cranston. Schultze has experience across multiple facets of the industry, including major motion pictures (The Abyss, Tremors, Henson Productions), television (Drew Carey Show, HBO, Showtime), music videos, commercials, industrial videos, and independent films.
As the founding Executive Director of two film schools, Schultze’s visionary leadership empowers and motivates others to reach their highest potential. He developed and guided curricula through accreditation processes at both community college and university levels. Additionally, he has organized and led numerous panel discussions and workshops featuring film industry experts.
Currently, as Executive Director of the Cinematic Arts Center at Liberty University, Schultze has realized his vision of a studio-style curriculum. He designed cutting-edge facilities that align with industry standards. Each year, he provides students with the opportunity to participate in full-scale productions, gaining hands-on experience in both the craft and business of filmmaking within a real-world framework supported by professional mentorship.
Schultze continues to produce, direct, and write inspiring fiction and narrative works based on true characters and events. He holds a BA in Communications from Appalachian State University, an MA in Leadership from Northern Arizona University, and an MFA in Creative Writing from Queens University.
