Michael J. McKay, a Director, Producer, and Writer, is renowned for directing, co-writing, and co-producing "Lake Effects," featuring Scottie Thompson, Madeline Zima, Jane Seymour, Casper Van Dien, Ben Savage, and Sean Patrick Flanery. Fluent in German, Mike also speaks Russian, and has knowledge of French, Spanish, Italian, and Arabic. He is an expert in over 30 dialects, having studied for 15 years in Robert Easton's Master Class alongside Eliza Jane Schneider.
Known for his subtle and unpredictable presence on film, Michael J. McKay commands the stage with a powerful voice that captivates any audience. With 20 years as an emcee, host, and performer in improv groups such as Killer Entertainment, Artistry Matters, and Creative Motion Entertainment, Mike has refined his comedic style through thousands of performances, enhanced by his own research and writing to create a unique delivery. His stage roles range from the lead Gregor Samsa in Metamorphosis, which received critical acclaim, to Sweeney Todd.
His notable television roles include guest appearances as Russian Commander Petavich on JAG, T. Rex on Drake and Josh, an injured Russian soldier on Alias (Ice), and over 100 appearances portraying a police officer on General Hospital and Port Charles.
Mike earned a B.A. in English from the University of Notre Dame and served four years as a Cavalry officer in Mannheim, Germany. Since 1993, he has been a member of the Kiwanis Club of Fullerton, where he served twice as Club President, seven years as Club Secretary, and as Lt. Governor in 2007, overseeing 13 local clubs. Kiwanis is a global volunteer organization committed to improving the lives of children and communities worldwide.
