Biografi
Trent McMullen was born in Wiarton, Ontario, and grew up in Kitchener-Waterloo, Sauble Beach, and Honey Harbour. His passion for acting began in high school when he was dared to audition for and secured a lead role in his school's (KCI) production of 'Grease - The Musical.'
After high school, Trent landed a successful 'Pepsi' commercial directed by Phillip Borsos, followed by small roles in Hollywood films such as "Tommy Boy" and "PCU." He then transitioned to television, appearing in shows like "The Wall," "The Rescuers," "La Femme Nikita," "WitchBlade," and playing 'Orrie Cather' for two seasons on the popular A&E series "Nero Wolfe."
Building on the success of 'Nero Wolfe,' Trent took on leading roles in independent films including Don McKellar’s directing debut "Last Night," which won the Director's Fortnight at Cannes Film Festival; "It All Happens Incredibly Fast," directed by Jai Dixit; and "Little Blood Brother," adapted from and directed by playwright Vittorio Rossi. He also portrayed the prison warden 'Sands' in the intense, critically acclaimed, and Tribeca Award-winning film "Dog Pound," directed by French filmmaker Kim Chapiron.
Trent was part of the ensemble cast in "Small Town Murder Songs," featuring Peter Stormare, Jill Hennessy, Aaron Poole, Ari Cohen, and Martha Plimpton. Director Ed Gass-Donnelly was recognized by Variety as one of the top ten directors to watch in 2011.
Known for his distinctive voice, Trent is among North America's top voice artists. He has been the voice for Animal Planet Canada and Investigation ID Canada and has narrated numerous documentaries for Discovery Channel and National Geographic. Additionally, he has voiced hundreds of TV and radio commercials covering a wide range of products from cars and sports to beer and liquor, as well as movie trailers for Warner Bros. and Universal Pictures.
Trent resides in Toronto but works worldwide.
