Ozman Sirgood is a Turkish-American actor admired and watched in over 65 countries across Eastern and Central Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and South America. He gained international acclaim and a devoted fan base for his iconic role as "Ibni Arabi" in the hit series "Resurrection: Ertugrul," building on his portrayal of the charismatic villain "Aron Feller" in the acclaimed TV action drama "Valley Of The Wolves: Ambush."
Renowned for his versatility, Ozman portrays a wide range of characters, from dangerous criminals to wise and kind figures. He resides in Los Angeles, California, with a career spanning 17 years and three continents.
Born Osman Soykut in Ankara, Turkey, Ozman has Eastern European heritage on his mother's side and Crimean roots from his father. He attended Frankfurt International School and TED Ankara Koleji, earning a B.A. in Architecture from the Middle East Technical University.
He relocated to California in 1984 and began acting in 1989. From 2001 until 2008, he trained under Milton Katselas at the Beverly Hills Playhouse.
Ozman quickly found success in Los Angeles, appearing in numerous productions such as Charmed, Alias, The Bold And The Beautiful, The Hot Chick, and Art School Confidential during his early career.
In 2007, he moved to Istanbul to take a lead role in the TV drama "Iki Yabanci." His reputation as a talented actor grew with subsequent prominent roles in "Pars Narkoteror" and "Adanali."
In 2009, he starred as the suave and deadly Aron Feller in the acclaimed TV action drama "Valley Of The Wolves: Ambush." In 2014, he portrayed "Ibn-i Arabi" in the historical TV drama "Dirilis - Ertugrul," which quickly became a hit. He later appeared as "Deputy Governor Mazhar" in Terry George's 2016 epic film, "The Promise."
Ozman enjoys a global following from fans of diverse nationalities. A passionate linguist, he is fluent in German, Turkish, and English, and continues to study 13 additional languages.
