Biografi
Joseph Ruggieri completed his undergraduate studies at Elizabethtown College, majoring in Communications with minors in theater and philosophy. During his time there, he produced most of the daily news programs for the college station ECTV, served as Operations Director, and created several shows including the music video program Videoactive, the campus news show Campus Beat, the entertainment magazine Now Showing, and the comedy show Please Laugh. He was also active in radio as both a DJ and music director. In theater, Joseph directed about six plays and performed in numerous productions. Additionally, he wrote, built stages for, and performed with both the improv and dance troupes. He furthered his theater and film studies at Cheltenham University in the United Kingdom. Before graduating from Elizabethtown, he was inducted into the National Honor Societies for both theater and communications and served as an advisor on the communications department board.
After Elizabethtown, Joseph pursued his passion for film production, music, directing, and art at Chapman University in Los Angeles, California, earning a Master of Fine Arts in Film Producing. There, he gained experience in both film business theory and hands-on production, directing, shooting, and editing various projects. He also worked as a production assistant on several feature films and coordinated commercial productions for Lexus. Concurrently, he continued his theater involvement by performing, writing, and directing for Ask Kevin Productions and performing with the One Size Fits All improv comedy group. Professionally, Joseph has contributed to the development department at Jersey Films, served as coordinator’s assistant on the Emmy Award-winning show The West Wing for a year, and led development and production at Rigel Entertainment, where he produced multiple projects.
He remains active in producing independent films, supporting theater whenever possible, and assisting emerging filmmakers by producing short films.
