Biografi
Tracey first experienced fame by winning a nationwide modeling contest for "No Excuses Jeans," beating 5,000 competitors. The brand flew her to New York City for a photo shoot, awarded her $10,000, and featured her in magazines and advertisements.
She then graduated from Michigan State University with a BA in Communication of Arts & Sciences.
After college, Tracey moved to Denver, Colorado, to gain on-camera acting experience. There, she secured an agent, took acting classes, appeared in three films, participated in an improvisational TV show, acted in a local commercial and industrial video, walked in a runway modeling show, performed in a play, and danced with a company for a TV show—all within ten months. Feeling prepared, she relocated to Los Angeles.
In L.A., Tracey started as an extra in the film Not Another Teen Movie (2001), directed by Joel Gallen. She earned all her SAG vouchers and was soon upgraded to a speaking role.
She booked a guest-starring role on the TV pilot Young MacGyver (2003), directed by Stephen Herek and produced by Henry Winkler.
Tracey guest-starred on Gilmore Girls (2000) as "May," a seductive college girl and rival to "Rory" (Alexis Bledel).
She auditioned three times for Dr. Vegas (2004) and was eventually cast in a recurring role as "Cheryl," the casino manager’s personal manicurist (Joe Pantoliano). She filmed two episodes before the show was canceled.
Tracey had a recurring role on What I Like About You (2002) as "Thyler," the alluring neighbor to "Vince" (Nick Zano) and a significant threat to "Holly" (Amanda Bynes).
She portrayed "Ashley," best friend to the ditzy blonde "Farrah" (Molly Stanton), as a recurring guest star on the CW series Twins (2005), which was also canceled.
Tracey appeared in a supporting role in Single White Female 2: The Psycho (2005), available nationwide on DVD.
She starred in Before You Here (2007) alongside Bijou Phillips, which premiered at the Slamdance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, and is soon available on DVD. She also featured in Look (2007), premiering at the CineVegas Film Festival in Las Vegas, where it won the Grand Jury Prize.
Tracey shot the pilot presentation Follower with Tommy Flanagan, directed by David Van Eyssen, known for the BMWfilm.com series starring Clive Owen.
She guest-starred on Private Practice (2007), a Grey’s Anatomy spin-off, in the episode titled "In Which Sam Receives an Unexpected Visitor," playing "Ginger," the visitor to "Sam" (Taye Diggs).
Tracey has appeared in 120 episodes (three seasons) of the web series Love, JD as "Romeo Darling." The show follows women working at the handbag company Junior Drake in a comic book style. Season 4, consisting of 40 episodes, began filming in late July. The series has partnered with YouTube to be featured on their homepage.
