Biografi
Janosch Orlowsky was born on July 30, 1978, in Seoul. He spent his early years in Berlin, Germany (1978-1980), and later grew up in the small town of Vechta near Bremen (1980-1998) in northwestern Germany, where he attended school and spent his youth. He has one brother and two sisters.
At age twelve, Janosch discovered the family’s Hi8 camcorder and began filming and editing videos. Beyond college, he operated a video production company, Janosch Orlowsky Videoproduktion, producing wedding documentaries and industrial films.
When he was fifteen, he started working at a TV production company in Bremen, where he trained as a camera assistant and editor.
In 1997, after passing his final exam, he began community service as a first-aid attendant with the emergency service in Vechta, influenced by his parents’ careers as medical doctors. During the following ten months, he continued his work in TV and news.
In the fall of 1998, he relocated to Munich and worked on various film projects before pursuing a professional career as a film producer.
Between 1999 and 2002, he produced more than fifty commercials, music videos, on-air promos, and corporate films.
In 2003, Janosch enrolled at the renowned Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin (DFFB), initially joining the producers’ class before switching to the directors’ class in 2005. He graduated in 2009.
Since 2002, Janosch has worked as a freelance director, producer, and writer for several German production companies.
Starting in 2006, he has also provided media, film, and television consulting services for various clients.
