Award-winning producer David Janollari founded David Janollari Entertainment in 2013.
Janollari has developed and produced some of the most beloved and critically praised series of the past twenty years, including "Six Feet Under" and "Friends."
David Janollari Entertainment brought to life the supernatural drama "Midnight, Texas," adapted from best-selling novels by Charlaine Harris (author of the books behind "True Blood"), as well as "Bluff City Law," starring Jimmy Smits for NBC.
During his tenure as head of programming at MTV, Janollari led the creation of popular scripted series such as "Teen Wolf" and "Awkward." As President of The WB Network, he launched the enduring hits "Supernatural" and "Beauty and the Geek," produced by Ashton Kutcher.
Janollari co-headed Greenblatt Janollari Studio with partner Robert Greenblatt, producing numerous successful shows including the Emmy-winning drama "Six Feet Under," which also earned the 2001 Golden Globe for Best Drama Series and the George Foster Peabody Award. Together, Janollari and Greenblatt received Golden Globe and Emmy nominations for the acclaimed PBS miniseries "American Family," created by Gregory Nava, and the CBS miniseries "Elvis," featuring Jonathan Rhys Meyers, who won a Golden Globe for his role.
Their independent banner also executive produced UPN comedies like "Eve," starring the music artist Eve; "The Hughleys," starring comedian D.L. Hughley; and "One on One."
As head of comedy development at Warner Bros. Television, Janollari was instrumental in launching the groundbreaking series "Friends," along with long-running shows such as "Hangin' with Mr. Cooper," "The Drew Carey Show," "Living Single," "Suddenly Susan," "The Jamie Foxx Show," and "The Wayans Bros."
Janollari is a New York University graduate with a major in film and television and hails from West Warwick, Rhode Island.
