Biografi
Konstantin Adashevsky was a Russian character actor affiliated with the Pushkin (Aleksandrinsky) Drama Theatre in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg).
Born Konstantin Ignatevich Adashevsky on April 11, 1897, near Kalisz, Poland, he was the son of Ignaty Adashevsky, who was Polish. The family relocated to St. Petersburg, Russia, where young Konstantin developed a passion for acting. He studied at the Davidov School of Russian Drama in St. Petersburg, graduating as an actor in 1925. From 1925 until 1987, he was a permanent member of the Pushkin (Aleksandrinsky) Drama Theatre troupe in Leningrad. Throughout his career, he shared the stage with distinguished actors such as Yekaterina Korchagina-Aleksandrovskaya, Nikolay Cherkasov, Yuri Yuryev, Boris Babochkin, Nikolai Simonov, Vasiliy Merkurev, Illarion Pevtsov, Konstantin Skorobogatov, Yuriy Tolubeev, Aleksandr Borisov, Bruno Frejndlikh, Vladimir Chestnokov, Vladimir Erenberg, Leonid Vivyen, Nikolai Marton, Igor Gorbachyov, Olga Lebzak, Nina Mamaeva, Lidiya Shtykan, Nina Urgant, Galina Karelina, and other notable Russian performers. He received the State Stalin Prize of the USSR in 1951 and was honored as People's Artist of the USSR in 1985. Konstantin Adashevsky passed away from heart failure on June 1, 1987, and was buried at Serafimovskoe Cemetery in St. Petersburg (Leningrad), Russia.
