Biografi
David Clair is a versatile creative professional specializing in television and alternative media. His work has been featured on National Geographic, NBCBravo, Oxygen, MTV, IFC, Discovery, TLC, ESPN, and more. At Zanzibar Productions, he created and produced "The It Factor," a documentary series that debuted on Bravo to critical acclaim from The New York Times, People Magazine, and The New York Post, running for two seasons. David also served as Executive Producer for The N Network on "Turn My Mic Up" and "Because We Feel Like It," as well as the reality pilot "Night of a Thousand Boyfriends" for Oxygen.
David produced and directed an episode for National Geographic's flagship series Explorer titled "Monsterfish of the Congo," focusing on unique fish species evolving in the Congo River. He then produced "Acoustic News," a 31-episode music series for TIME.COM, which, while safer, was equally challenging.
In addition to series production, David has maintained a long-standing partnership with the National Institute on Drug Abuse, where he writes, produces, and directs PSAs for television and radio.
In 2010, in collaboration with Nintendo, David co-founded The Nintendo E3 Network, a web-based broadcast aimed at gaming fans covering breaking news at the E3 event in Los Angeles. Over six weeks, he and his team produced more than 60 programs across three continents, featuring exclusive interviews with developers and artists in this highly competitive and secretive industry.
As of 2011, David is in post-production on Special Order Films’ latest feature, "Lost Lake," starring Ezra Buzzington and Katie Keene.
Also in 2011, on April 29th, a one-hour special he produced for National Geographic's Wild, titled "Snake Underworld" and featuring Henry Rollins, premiered.
David's work has earned numerous awards and been showcased at prestigious events including The Cannes Film Festival, Los Angeles Film Festival, and the Chicago International Children's Film Festival.
