Biografi
Glen Gregory Doyle, born in Avondale (Middle Arm), Newfoundland, Canada, has been active in filmmaking since 1987. He studied Screenwriting and Theatre Arts at Ryerson University and later pursued Print, Radio, and Television Journalism at Humber College. His written works have been produced and published internationally. Doyle wrote the feature films Sometimes a Hero (known as Cold Vengeance on US DVD) and The Circuit, both of which achieved international distribution. The success of The Circuit led to international demand for its sequels, Circuit 2 and Circuit 3: Street Monk, the latter recently completing post-production. Additionally, Doyle was commissioned by Silverthorne Pictures in Toronto to adapt the novel Brotherhood of the Red Rat, currently in pre-production. He is also the author of the non-fiction book The Martial Artist's Way (1999), published by Harper Collins in Canada and Tuttle Publishing in the United States.
Beyond writing, Doyle is an accomplished martial artist with global recognition, having been a three-time Canadian Kung Fu Champion. He recently hosted and demonstrated in the instructional DVD 60 Minutes to Learn Kung Fu. Doyle has worked as an action and fight choreographer, collaborating with Cynthia Rothrock and handling all fight choreography for the film Sometimes a Hero. He has appeared on the covers of several international magazines, including Inside Kung Fu, Black Belt Magazine, and World of Martial Arts. He has also made guest appearances on radio and television talk shows, including the award-winning Arlene Bynon Show. Doyle has contributed as a feature writer for Canadian Martial Arts Magazine and has delivered lectures to aspiring screenwriters at Ryerson University in Toronto.
In May 2005, Doyle was appointed Head Coach of the Kung Fu Division for WKA Team Canada (World Karate Association), following the success of three of his students who placed 1st, 2nd, and 4th at the Canadian National Championships and earned spots on the national team.
