Biografi
Çağlar Ertuğrul was born on November 5, 1987, in İzmir, Turkey. His family, of Turkish origin, immigrated from Crete and Bulgaria following the collapse of the Ottoman Empire. He graduated from Koç University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
During his university years, he was active in the theater club, performing in plays such as "Romeolar ve Julietler," "Yobaz," and "Kaos Teorileri." In 2010, he received acting training at Akademi 35 Buçuk. His professional stage debut included performances in "Les" and "Gökten Gelen Adam." In 2016, he traveled to West Hollywood to study method acting at The Lee Strasberg Institute and also took comedy improvisation classes at The Groundlings.
Çağlar Ertuğrul began his on-screen career in 2012, starring as the lead in the feature film "Dağ." His breakthrough came with the sequel "Dağ 2," which became one of Turkey's box office hits in 2016. He also appeared in several other films, including "Bana Masal Anlatma," "Biz Size Döneriz," "Ailecek Şaşkınız," "Yanımda Kal," and "Scent of My Daughter."
His television debut was as the lead actor in "Benim İçin Üzülme" in 2012. He went on to star in multiple TV series such as "Boynu Bükükler," "Galip Derviş," "Kurt Seyit ve Şura," "Beyaz Karanfil," and "Medcezir."
In 2016, Çağlar Ertuğrul gained acclaim for his role as Yağız Egemen in the drama series "Fazilet Hanım ve Kızları." He showcased his versatility in comedy by playing Kerem Yiğiter in the romantic comedy series "Afili Aşk" in 2019.
