Biografi
Mike Nyman (also known as Michael Robert Nyman or Michael Nyman) has been acting since he was twenty-two. Hailing from Long Beach, California, he is well-versed in all facets of acting, including film, television, theatre, improv, background work, producing, directing, and casting. His roles vary widely, from a handsome leading man to intense character parts. He trained under notable coaches such as the late Cliff Osmond, the late Jeff Conaway, Doug Warhit, Yale Theatre Arts graduate Gregory Berger-Sobeck ("The Berg"), and Circus Theatricals director Jack Stehlin. Mike spent five years performing with The Zeitgeist Theatre Company before co-founding The First Stage Alert Theatre Company alongside friend and fellow actor Lonnie Schuyler. Together, they produced the 35mm feature film "Bottom Feeders" (1997), written and directed by Lonnie, featuring many actors from First Stage Alert. Mike also appeared in the Johnny Depp film "Blow," though his scenes were ultimately cut, similar to Kevin Costner's experience in "The Big Chill." With the rise of self-tape auditions during the pandemic, Mike has become more active and is booking more roles. He has gained favor with several commercial casting directors and has appeared in commercials for Massage Envy, Liquid Death/Me Undies, and Consumer Cellular. Currently, he has three films on the festival circuit: "Bare Knuckle Girl," where he plays a confrontational trucker involved in a large parking lot fight; "St. George," portraying Hank, the local sheriff chasing bank robbers; and "Do Right Man," in which he plays The Old Man, a pool shark at a neighborhood bar. Additionally, he appears on Netflix in the sketch comedy series "I Think You Should Leave With Tim Robinson," featuring as Metaloid Maniac in a game show segment alongside Sam Richardson, and as an FBI Agent in the docudrama series "Meltdown: Three Mile Island.
