Born and raised in Iowa, she recently relocated to South Dakota, where she continues her creative pursuits alongside her professional career.
Van Patten grew up in Iowa, pursued her education within the state and completed her education in 2025. Her clinical training provides a deep layer of psychological insight that heavily informs her character development and emotional range on screen.
Van Patten began her screen acting journey in 2016, initially appearing in regional independent projects such as Dark Thoughts, Bros. on the Rocks, and BROS. Last Call. Her filmography quickly expanded as she became a recurring collaborator within the Midwestern indie film circuit.
