Biografi
Born in Patterson, New Jersey, Eric Nyenhuis grew up in East Orange and Montclair, where he attended Montclair High School alongside actor Alex Winter.
In 1999, Nyenhuis joined Ken Shamrock's Submission Academy, competing under the Lions Den banner. In 2000, he persuaded Bob Shamrock to launch a professional wrestling program. After completing it, Nyenhuis competed worldwide, debuting in Hawaii for Hawaii Pro Wrestling and concluding his in-ring career against John "Muscles" Marinara for Victory Pro Wrestling in Long Island, New York.
Eric continued marketing contracted UFC fighters and eventually secured a role with sports radio host Scott Ferrall at Sirius XM in New York, making his radio debut alongside Jackie Martling on Jackie's Joke Land.
Encouraged by veteran actor John Savage (The Deer Hunter, The Onion Field) in 2005, Eric began his acting career with coaches Earnest Thomas (What's Happening, Everybody Hates Chris) and Richard Hatch (Battlestar Galactica), impressing Hatch with his reading of The Rainmaker.
Retro Radio Live was among the first live podcasts in America, featuring over 900 celebrity interviews. It reached #1 on iTunes and attracted more than four million listeners.
For Star Trek Equinox, Nyenhuis was approached to produce a pilot for Netflix. With limited support, he created a 15-minute extended trailer featuring John Savage and veteran actor Gray Lockwood.
In 2016, The Warriors reunion, supported by the original cast and endorsed by producer Larry Gordon and director-producer-writer Walter Hill, was documented by Rolling Stone Magazine. The event earned its first IMDb credit and became the company's most-watched video, drawing over 30,000 fans to historic Coney Island, New York.
Eric made his directorial debut in 2018 with two films, Credible and Inspired. He continues collaborating with producing partner David Gere, executive producer Douglas Cartelli, as well as Lionsgate and Netflix.
He was hired to direct a new series on wrestling legend Karl Gotch and the origins of MMA in Japan, focusing on the Fujiwara-gumi and Pancrase Hybrid Wrestling™.
On August 24, 2020, Nyenhuis's production company, Blown Falcon Productions LLC, acquired the Pancrase Hybrid Wrestling™ trademark.
