Biografi
Sandy Fox is an American actor, voice actor, singer, and producer from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She launched her entertainment career at 17 with the Walt Disney Company, performing in hundreds of live stage shows as a singer, dancer, and comedic performer. Her on-camera appearances include roles in Muppets Tonight, Nickelodeon's Early Days, Welcome Home Freshmen, and starring in Disney's Fourth of July Spectacular alongside Rita Moreno and Tommy Tune.
As a voice actress, she has contributed numerous additional voices for The Simpsons, King of the Hill, and Futurama. Her entry into anime voice work featured roles such as Kyoko in the Japanese film AKIRA, Sakura in Ninja Cadets, and singing theme songs for The Magic Knight Rayearth series. Other notable characters she has voiced include Mipsy in As Told by Ginger, Hello Kitty in The Super Cute Friendship Festival Tour, Harmony in Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi, and both Chibiusa and Black Lady in the new Sailor Moon series.
Internationally recognized for voicing the Queen of Cartoons, Betty Boop, Sandy was hired at 18 by the 1920s jazz group The Cocoanut Manor Orchestra to sing songs from the 1920s and the repertoires of Annette Hanshaw, Helen Kane, and Betty Boop. She performed with the orchestra for eleven years, opening for festivals and jazz legends like Ray Charles, Pete Fountain, Dizzy Gillespie, and Cab Calloway. Since 1991, she has voiced Betty Boop for Universal Studios and King Features. Her voice can be heard as Betty Boop and Pudgy in Chantilly Lane’s new line of singing plush toys, at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure Theme Park in Orlando, Florida, in global online campaigns for Lancôme Paris and Zac Posen, and most recently in Betty’s appearance on Project Runway All Stars.
Sandy is passionate about creating conscious media for children and projects that promote positive planetary change. She is the CEO and co-founder of Love Planet Productions and The Love Planet Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to education and awareness on social and environmental issues.
