Lisa is a GRAMMY Nominee who has collaborated with multi-Grammy winner and producer KebMo', Beatles' producer Sir George Martin, Little Richard, Peter Bogdanovich, Brian Setzer, John Hiatt, Randy Newman, Lyle Lovett, Taj Mahal, Dave Koz, Jim Carrey, Sam Kinison, Queen Ida, Rockin' Sydney, Joe Simien, Patrick Cranshaw, Robert Easton, and many others.
She appeared as fiddle player Hortense Clampet in "The Beverly Hillbillies Movie," as an orchestral violinist in Jim Carrey's film "The Man in the Moon," and in Anthony Hopkins' "Red Dragon."
Born into an expatriate Southern family, Lisa began performing at age four. Shortly after, her family moved to the Hollywood area, where her next-door neighbor, Mickey Mouse Show producer Bob Holoboff, offered her a chance to become a Mouseketeer. Her parents declined, preferring she pursue a respected career in classical music.
Her father's family songs, including the modal tunes of Louisiana, were relegated to the garage. However, summer visits to Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, and Tennessee strengthened her Southern roots. This cultural blend drew Lisa toward the lively, distinctive music of her ancestry.
Her entry into Hollywood’s theater and music scene included a role as music director for an operetta company at age 17 and band experience with the engineer for the Beach Boys and Todd Rundgren. These experiences led her to reject a classical music college scholarship in favor of her true passion: Americana Cajun/Zydeco.
Landing a spot with Grammy-winning Zydeco legend Queen Ida, Lisa toured the US, Canada, and Europe to acclaim. As a protégé of legendary Cajun accordionist Joe Simien, she also toured with Grammy winners Al Rapone and Rockin' Sydney (writer of "Don't Mess with My Toot-toot").
She descends from Francis Scott Key and is related to F. Scott Fitzgerald, Bill Haley, and the LeBoeuf, Broussard, Lambert, and Thibodaux families.
Launching her own group in 1995, Lisa and her All-Star band, The Zydekats, have toured the US, Canada, Europe, Asia, and Africa, spreading her unique brand of Americana/Louisiana music known as "Zydecosis."
Lisa contributed Gypsy violin to a Brian Setzer Orchestra album and delivered standout fiddle work on the Adam Sandler movie "The Waterboy" soundtrack. She has also recorded with John Hiatt, John Barry, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Dramarama, and played the principal instrument for the film "The Grave."
With eight albums to her name, including the GRAMMY-nominated "King Cake," the recent "Joy Ride," and the European release "Louisiana," Lisa energizes fans of Americana, Zydeco/Cajun, Jazz, Rock, Christian, and Folk music.
Her critically acclaimed song "Always Be Your Guide" was featured in the film "Mr. Atlas" and was considered for the "Lord of the Rings 3" soundtrack. Recent appearances include performing an original tune on NBC's top-rated TV show "Las Vegas" and playing alongside the legendary Little Richard.
