Biografi
Jordan Elizabeth Gelber is a New York City-based actress, producer, and entrepreneur. With a deep passion for the performing and creative arts, she discovered early on that her life would revolve around her love of performing—from staging shows in her parents' kitchen as a child to taking on numerous roles both onstage and behind the scenes.
Her enthusiasm for the arts was nurtured by her appreciation for books, plays, poetry, and music. She grew up immersed in the works of Tennessee Williams, Shakespeare, Ernest Hemingway, Robert Frost, the Harry Potter series, and Charles Bukowski.
Jordan’s love for acting was sparked when her mother introduced her to the classic film "Gigi," starring Leslie Caron.
Seeing Carla Gugino perform on Broadway in "Suddenly Last Summer" inspired Jordan to pursue an acting career after several years at a performing arts high school. She graduated from Marymount Manhattan College in 2010 with a B.A. in Graphic Design and Communication Arts and has been working professionally as an actress since 2007.
Her recent credits include feature films such as Money Game, The Elevator Game, and the award-winning short film "Legit," which she also wrote, directed, and produced.
Between 2011 and 2014, Jordan was a founding member of The Lost & Found Project, an award-winning Russian Jewish theater company specializing in experimental docu-theatre using the Verbatim Technique. As part of this group, affiliated with FolksbeineRU—a collaboration between the Genesis Philanthropy Group and National Yiddish Theatre-Folksbiene—she toured across the United States, Canada, and Russia.
Since 2018, Jordan has been a member of Theatre 68, a bi-coastal theater company founded by Ronnie Marmo. Outside of acting, she channels her creativity into helping others break into the entertainment industry through her innovative platform, Aperteur, which empowers creators and filmmakers to maintain greater control over their creative work.
She also manages her marketing firm, Starbaby Enterprises, from her NYC apartment and launched the podcast "Content & Consequences" with Rogue Matter during the 2020 pandemic, aiming to educate aspiring actors, producers, and filmmakers about the industry.
Alongside her entrepreneurial and artistic pursuits, Jordan continues to chase her dream role in the Fantastic Beasts films and actively expresses her desire to join the Wizarding World franchise on her social media platforms.
