Scotty Morrow was born in Los Angeles, California, into a show business family. His older brother, Brad Morrow, was one of the original Disney Mousketeers and also had a notable acting career. Scotty made his acting debut at age four in a TV commercial for "One A Day" vitamins. This led to several other commercials and guest appearances on variety shows like Red Skelton, Jack Benny, and Johnny Carson. His first feature role in a TV drama came with The United States Steel Hour in 1955. By the end of his childhood acting career, Scotty had appeared in over 70 television shows. These included comedies such as The Donna Reed Show, where he was a recurring character named Pee Wee, Leave It to Beaver, and My Three Sons. He also acted in westerns like Wagon Train, Maverick, Zane Grey Theatre, Tales of Wells Fargo, The Restless Gun, Gunsmoke, Shotgun Slade, Buckskin, The Adventures of Kit Carson, and Death Valley Days. Additionally, he appeared in medical dramas such as Dr. Kildare and Ben Casey, and sci-fi classics including The Twilight Zone, Science Fiction Theatre, and One Step Beyond. Beach dramas like Hawaiian Eye, Adventures in Paradise, Surfside 6, and Follow the Sun also featured his work. His agent, Frank Ryan, often promoted him as "Kid Television" due to his numerous TV appearances during this period. Between his television roles, several film directors and producers showed interest. His first feature film with MGM was Between Heaven and Hell (1956), followed by Red Sundown (1956). These led to a role at 20th Century-Fox as Joey Cross in the epic Peyton Place (1957), which became his breakthrough film performance. He also appeared in An Affair to Remember (1957) for the same studio. Scotty co-starred with George Montgomery in The Toughest Gun in Tombstone (1958) and starred opposite Ethel Waters in the family drama The Heart Is a Rebel (1958). He took the lead in the sci-fi thriller The Cosmic Man (1959), and his last major film role was the lead in the family classic The Jolly Genie (1963). After high school, Scotty served in the United States Air Force as a military photographer with an OSI unit and saw action in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War. Following his military service and college graduation, he transitioned into the business world. He is currently an entertainment consultant living and working in Sherman Oaks, California.
