Biografi
Leo Scherman is a Toronto-based director, writer, and producer.
He co-wrote and directed the WWI horror film Trench 11, which won Best Feature Film at the Toronto After Dark Film Festival, received the festival’s highest audience award ever, and screened at international festivals including LA, Berlin, Manchester, Mexico City, Chicago, Telluride, and Whistler.
Scherman co-created the TV series Cock'd Gunns, which earned two Canadian Screen Awards for Best Writing and Best Ensemble Performance and was nominated for Best Comedic Series.
Specializing in suspense and realism, Scherman’s work spans multiple genres such as feature films, documentaries, true crime docudramas, comedy, and hidden-camera projects. Born in London, UK, he studied at McGill University in Montreal and trained under David Cronenberg.
