Biografi
Momo Dione was born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is of Guinean and Senegalese heritage. His father served as a Guinean diplomat, while his mother is an entrepreneur focused on event production and African fashion. Before entering high school, Momo had already traveled extensively. He moved to the United States in 1993 when his father was assigned to the Guinea mission in New York City. Acting became his passion during elementary school plays on Roosevelt Island. He began auditioning for roles in high school, though his busy schedule—playing basketball and football, serving as class president for three terms, being prom king, and handling a demanding academic workload—left limited time for acting. He graduated from Yonkers International Baccalaureate High School in 2004. Since then, he has appeared in plays, TV shows, commercials, music videos, student films, independent films, and feature films. His credits include "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," "Across the Universe," "Notorious," and the upcoming "Restless City," set to premiere at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, along with several commercials. He completed the All Stars Project/Youth Onstage/Castillo Theater youth development acting programs and was part of the original cast and co-author of the All Stars Project's production of "Our City." Additionally, he has been featured in paintings by Afro-American artist Kehinde Wiley. Momo splits his time between Los Angeles and New York and travels frequently. He co-owns Caramel Cappuccino Films, a production company dedicated to creating films that explore important themes of life and relationships within underserved or overlooked communities, with the goal of producing these stories. His interests include horseback riding, opera, Congolese soukous music, sports, and all things related to cinema. Momo Dione continues to audition and work on new projects, seeking the role that will establish his place in Hollywood, Broadway, and beyond.
