Biografi
Chris J. Clayton was born on March 25, 1958, in Blackpool, England, and relocated to Canada in 1967. He began his career in theatre in Kelowna, BC, before moving to Vancouver, British Columbia, in 1980, when the film industry in western Canada was just emerging. Initially working as an actor and later as a stuntman on TV series such as Airwolf and 21 Jump Street, he quickly gained experience in the technical aspects behind the scenes. Chris founded the first location-finding service in the Okanagan Valley and served as founder and president of the Interior Film Production Association (now the Okanagan Film Commission) from 1978 to 1980.
In 1989, Chris took a two-year hiatus from the industry following the death of his father, sound technician John A. Clayton. He returned in 1993 as a transport coordinator and 2nd Unit Production Manager for Shavick Entertainment in Vancouver. After working on seven films with Shavick, he transitioned to freelancing as a writer, production manager, and producer. From May 1994 to July 1999, Chris served on the Board of Directors and led several departments of the Association of Canadian Film Craftsmen (ACFC) Local 2020 in Vancouver, BC.
As of September 20, 2012, Chris became CEO and President of Island Films Inc. and its subsidiary Island Rock Releasing, based in Kelowna, British Columbia. He produces and directs television commercials and music videos for Canadian and international talent. Divorced with seven children, Chris has worked as a former transportation coordinator for various production companies filming in the Okanagan Valley, before taking on roles as Service Producer and Director/Cinematographer for Infinity Films Inc.
As of February 2018, Chris serves as President and CEO of Infinity Films Inc., Island Rock Releasing Inc., and Infinity Cine Products.
