Biografi
Stephanie Edmonds was born at Cannon Air Force Base in Clovis, New Mexico, as the only child of Walter Edmonds, an engineer, and Michelle Edmonds, a dental assistant. When she was very young, her father retired from the Air Force, and the family moved to Dallas, Texas.
At twelve, she earned gifted status in the AIM ("Activating Inquisitive Minds") and Phoenix programs for talented students after scoring highly on an IQ test. She completed an Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate curriculum, graduating with honors, distinction, and placement on the United States President's Honor Roll.
Discovered by an agent at the National Cheerleaders Association All-Star Nationals in Dallas when she was 14, Edmonds quickly began a career in acting and modeling.
While studying Psychology at the University of Oklahoma, she continued modeling for designers such as Betsey Johnson, Burberry, Nicole Miller, Hugo Boss, Vera Wang, and Roberto Cavalli.
In 2007, Edmonds moved to Los Angeles to further pursue her acting career.
Throughout her career, she has chosen to portray complex characters facing sensitive and socially significant issues, including authentic depictions of post-traumatic stress disorder resulting from rape, critiques of society's condemnation of same-sex relationships, and portrayals of substance abuse and self-harm.
