Biografia
Shareen Mitchell is a Palestinian and Lebanese American actress, born and raised in Cairo and New York. A Smith College graduate, she is a proud, active lifetime member of The Actors Studio. Additionally, she is a producer, playwright, and screenwriter. Her solo play with music, "Who Are You," was produced in 2022 at The Greenway Court Theater in Los Angeles and is currently being developed into a full-scale musical in collaboration with Witz End Productions.
Together with her sister Oriana Cyprus, Shareen co-founded Two Sisters Media. Their debut feature film, "A Tantalizing," stars John Cullum and Shareen Mitchell. Adapted by Shareen from the one-act play by William Mastrosimone, the film is earning awards on the 2025/2026 festival circuit. Two Sisters Media is also in preproduction on a short film, "Dirty Ayrab, Dirty Ayrab," an autobiographical story written by Shareen about their early assimilation in America as Arab children. They are developing a feature film titled "The Team," which tells the inspiring story of a bullied young Amish boy and his team of malformed horses.
Shareen was a series regular on the ABC show "Hudson Street," starring Tony Danza. She has appeared in numerous network series with recurring and guest roles, including playing Virna, Shawn's mother, on "Boy Meets World."
In 2004, Shareen took a break from acting to create a popular bi-coastal vintage store. Shareen Vintage gained recognition through numerous news articles, fashion discussions, and a reality show, "Dresscue-Me," produced by The World of Wonder, which aired on Discovery's Planet Green.
She also founded Studio 17, a unique 70-seat performance space located in New York's Flatiron district.
Shareen is happily single and child-free, enjoying her time acting, writing, producing, and supporting the work of other artists.
