Jeremy James Miller is an American actor best known for his role as Ben Seaver on Growing Pains and its two reunion movies. He also provided the voice of Linus in Happy New Year, Charlie Brown and Snoopy the Musical.
Miller began his career appearing in a McDonald's commercial, followed by guest roles on Charles in Charge, Different Strokes, Punky Brewster, and Pryor's Place. He appeared in the NBC miniseries Deceptions alongside Barry Bostwick, Stephanie Powers, and Fairuza Balk before securing the role of Ben Seaver, the youngest son on Growing Pains. Although initially considered for a role on the PBS show Ghostwriter as a mentor to younger characters, producers decided against including an older team member, and Miller was not brought back after filming the pilot. One of his most recognizable trademarks is the "Ben Seaver Scream," featured in numerous Growing Pains episodes and during the closing credits of the film Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star.
Following Growing Pains, Jeremy co-starred as Jake in the TV movie Based on an Untrue Story, alongside Morgan Fairchild, Robert Goulet, Rikki Lake, Dan Hedeya, Victoria Jackson, and Harvey Korman.
He then took a break from acting to attend the University of Southern California for a year, where he studied drama. Later, he pursued his passion for cooking, enrolling in the Culinary Arts program at Le Cordon Bleu, which he left just before graduating. Jeremy founded his own catering company, No Small Affair, and freelanced as a chef for several Los Angeles-based catering businesses. He also offers private cooking lessons and group cooking parties. Continuing his acting career, Jeremy traveled to Shanghai, where he enjoys significant popularity, to co-star in the film Milk and Fashion. He appeared in a McDonald's commercial for the "Dollar Menunaires" promotion, a parody of the VH1 series Best Week Ever, and had a role in Boys and Girls Guide to Getting Down. In 2009, he appeared in four films: Ditching Party, Never Have I Ever, The Fish, and Tar Beach. He is also set to co-star in the upcoming horror film Awakening and take roles in two new series: a recurring role in the comedy The Comeback Kids and the lead in the paranormal suspense drama 3rd Eye.
