Alex Collins is an actor best known for his recent role as Dr. Charles McNider/Dr. MidNite on DC's popular series Stargirl on the CW. His other notable work includes a recurring role as Crane on HBO's Lovecraft Country and portraying Max Green in the Oscar-nominated film Richard Jewell. He has also appeared in Sleepy Hollow, Cobra Kai, True Detective, The Gifted, and TURN: Washington's Spies, among others.
A SAG-AFTRA member for over 19 years, Alex has worked extensively in both the Los Angeles and Atlanta markets. His career spans acting, content creation, producing union films and live theatre, teaching acting, audition coaching, and serving as an industry consultant. Collins has shared the screen with prominent actors such as Tom Cruise, Woody Harrelson, Mahershala Ali, Cynthia Erivo, Jon Bernthal, Michelle Monaghan, David Harbour, Sam Worthington, Garret Dillahunt, and Jimmy Smits. He has worked under renowned directors including Clint Eastwood, Rob Reiner, Doug Liman, and others.
For the past eight years, Collins has been teaching at Drama Inc. and is a guest instructor at the SAG-AFTRA Conservatory in Atlanta. With over a decade of classroom teaching experience, he also offers individual coaching both in person around Atlanta and remotely via Zoom or Skype. His clients include beginners as well as series regular actors.
