Sheree J. Wilson has achieved international fame starring in two highly popular, long-running television series. She appeared in the hit show Dallas for five seasons opposite Patrick Duffy and then starred throughout the entire eight-year run of Walker, Texas Ranger alongside Chuck Norris. Recently, Ms. Wilson has both starred in and produced two feature films: Easy Rider: The Ride Back, a prequel to the cult classic Easy Rider, and The Gundown. She also co-produced the zombie comedy Dug Up.
Sheree launched her film and television career with a leading role opposite Louise Lasser, Brian James, and Reed Burney in Crimewave, a 1984 black comedy directed by Sam Raimi. Just three days after wrapping that film, she was cast in Velvet, an ABC/Aaron Spelling made-for-TV movie and series pilot where she portrayed a female "James Bond" character opposite Shari Belafonte. Within the following year, she starred alongside Tim Robbins in Fraternity Vacation, a summer comedy in which she played an intellectual beauty admired by all.
Producers quickly took notice of this dynamic newcomer to Hollywood, leading her to star in the 1985 CBS miniseries Kane & Abel with Peter Strauss. This role was followed by a part in Our Family Honor, a CBS drama about Irish cops versus the Mafia, where she acted with Ray Liotta, Michael Madsen, and Eli Wallach. Her career continued to flourish with roles such as in News at Eleven alongside Martin Sheen. Then, in 1986, television producer Leonard Katzman reached out to Sheree about a role he believed was perfect for her classic beauty and lively, spirited personality.
She was cast as April Stevens on the CBS mega-hit series Dallas. For five seasons, she portrayed a smart, wealthy femme fatale whose character evolved from being one of Dallas’s most powerful women and J.R. Ewing’s adversary, to one of the warmest figures in town, eventually marrying Bobby Ewing, the show’s ultimate hero. April Stevens’s storyline ended with her being shot during her honeymoon in Paris. Sheree’s impactful performance earned her the Soap Opera Digest Award for Best Death Scene.
At the time, Sheree was pregnant and wished to step away to focus fully on motherhood.
By the end of 1992, she signed on to play the lead female role of Alex Cahill in Walker, Texas Ranger opposite Chuck Norris, a series that ran for eight seasons.
Born in Minnesota to two IBM executives, Sheree moved to Colorado at age seven, where she developed her equestrian skills. Her outstanding horsemanship earned her first place in cutting horse riding at the 1995 National Multiple Sclerosis Rodeo.
Sheree currently lives in Dallas, Texas.
