Crystal Allen was born in California, where she currently lives, but she was raised in Camrose, Alberta, Canada.
Holding dual Canadian and American citizenship, she has secured numerous leading roles. Notably, she appeared in Crooked Arrows (2012) alongside Brandon Routh and Ghost Storm (2011) with Carlos Bernard, both released in the spring of 2012.
Allen also starred in the latest two sequels of the popular Anaconda film series. In Anaconda 3 and 4, she plays the lead role of Dr. Amanda Hayes, a scientist who fights for her beliefs and maintains her integrity in these action-packed films.
She is recognized for her roles as the Orion Slave Girl D'nesh in Bound (2005) and as Navigator Yara in the independent film Star Trek: Of Gods and Men (2007).
Allen's other notable appearances include popular TV shows such as Haven (2010), Prison Break (2005), Desperate Housewives (2004), Boston Legal (2004), Star Trek: Enterprise (2001), NCIS (2003), Modern Men (2006), Sex and the City (1998), The Sopranos (1999), Ed (2000), and the feature film Maid in Manhattan (2002). She was also praised as the lead in the Hallmark movie Falling in Love with the Girl Next Door (2006). Many also fondly remember her as the Tic Tac spokeswoman.
Before establishing her acting career, Allen studied dance extensively in New York City, which led her to Japan and Monte Carlo. Her modeling career took her to Greece, London, Germany, and South Africa before returning to NYC, where she studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Institute. Her dedication to her roles is evident in her success, including acclaimed short films like Comic Con and Lake Arrowhead. Additionally, Allen is known for hosting elegant dinner parties, showcasing her passion for cooking and bringing together a diverse and fascinating group of friends from around the world.
