Biografia
Leon "LeeBoy" Frierson was born in Anaheim and grew up throughout Southern California, spending time in San Diego, Los Angeles, Ontario, and eventually settling in Pomona. His talents emerged early, as he began dancing and writing rhymes at age 7, heavily influenced by artists like Too Short, Eazy-E, and MC Hammer. However, it was his acting career that propelled him into the entertainment world. After appearing in a few small commercials, Leon became the youngest cast member on Nickelodeon's All That at age 10, gaining recognition for his signature character "Leroy" from Leroy and Fuzz. He completed three seasons alongside notable cast members such as Kenan and Kel, Amanda Bynes, and Nick Cannon, drawing inspiration from guest music artists on the show.
As a teenager, Leon expanded his acting career in film, television, and theater, including work with LA's renowned Amazing Grace Conservatory. There, he refined his music and performance skills and launched Don't Get Clowned and Club Circus, which gained significant attention in the Inland Empire during the "Clown Dance" era, competing against Tommy the Clown and other groups. Two members of Club Circus, later known as Marvel the Gr8 and Sun Whoa, united to form The Circuit, driven by their shared passion for music. Their releases included mixtapes hosted by DJ K-Sly, Illroots, and Mick Boogie. After internal disputes led to The Circuit's breakup, LeeBoy pursued a solo music career while maintaining close ties with Marvel the Gr8 and the Random Citizens.
LeeBoy’s solo career began with opening performances for artists like N.O.R.E., The LOX, Soulja Boy, and The Game, alongside numerous local shows. His rap style is intricate, humorous, melodic, and distinctly West Coast. Known on Pomona streets as Pimpin' Ass Lee, he adopted the moniker "S.L.A.P." (Something Like A Pimp) to mark the next phase of his music career. His debut single and video, "Get It," featuring Marvel the Gr8, is widely available. As a media personality, LeeBoy integrates his music into Instagram content and is recognized for performing the intro music for his "LeeBoy and Fuzz" IG parody series.
Currently, LeeBoy uses his platform to celebrate his family, career, and Black culture. As the founder of LeeBoyTV and BrotherLee Media, Leon is committed to creating content that is both informative and entertaining.
