Biografia
Néa Dune is a Croatian-American model-turned-actress, stuntwoman, mermaid, HMUA/SFX artist, and creative producer, dividing her time between Los Angeles, California, USA, and Croatia, EU. Born and raised in ex-Yugoslavia, she arrived in Hollywood at the end of 2015 as an extraordinary abilities alien. Within two weeks, she secured her first feature film role in "Female Fight Club" starring Dolph Lundgren and booked hair modeling campaigns for Wella. Her educational background is diverse, reflecting her neurodivergent polymath nature. Néa speaks nine languages with a keen ear for dialects and accents, cultivating a broad skill set and breaking glass ceilings while earning awards in every field she engages with.
She first gained international recognition through publications and vixen roles starting in late 2009, appearing on over 45 magazine covers to date. Néa studied acting at Zagreb’s only English-language acting school, the International Arts Centre, and further refined her craft through workshops in Los Angeles with esteemed teachers and industry coaches. For more than a decade, she has applied her linguistic talents as a voice-over actress and translator. Now a SAG-Core member, Néa has directed, written, cast, and produced two of her own projects, receiving over a dozen awards on the festival circuit, including Best International Short Film for her debut short.
Néa regularly serves as a peer reviewer, judge, and creative producer. Beyond acting, she brings looks to life as a certified make-up, hair, and SFX celebrity artist and pose coach. Prior to her on-camera career, she earned two Master’s degrees, received a Rector’s Award for her STEM work, and pursued a Ph.D. before transitioning full-time to entertainment. A lifelong volunteer and humanitarian, Néa advocates for causes such as invisible illnesses, Earth conservation, innovation, equality and opportunities for women, alt subcultures, and her native culture to combat stigmas. She served nearly a decade in the European Youth Parliament, which helped enhance her mastery of English, a language she began learning in kindergarten.
Always eager to acquire new skills, Néa integrates them into her acting career. She specializes in underwater stunts as professional mermaid SireNea and certified PSS freediver. She is also a trained ballroom dancer and aerialist with over 20 years of experience, a seasoned creature performer and stilt-walker, archer, extreme sports enthusiast, avid globetrotter, and linguistic aficionado. Her language proficiency includes native Croatian; native-level Serbian and Bosnian; fluent English and a Master’s degree in Spanish; and proficiency in German, French, Latin, Slovenian, among others.
